This race takes place in Missoula, MT. In April. What does that mean to runners? It means you never know what kind of weather we're going to have or what the weather will decide to drop on the streets as it passes through (i.e. sleet, rain, etc.). Be prepared for potentially slippery surfaces, potholes (watch for puddles!), uneven surfaces, and loose sand and gravel!
To participate in the in-person 10K Run for the Trees you must read and follow the guidelines and protocols. These protocols have been established to keep our runners, staff, volunteers, partners, and community safe by preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These protocols have been developed in coordination with the Missoula City County Health Department.
For the safety of all participants, staff, and volunteers, if you do not comply with these guidelines, you will be asked the leave the event and will be removed from any results listing.
During this time of COVID-19, there are inherent risks involved in participating in in-person races and events. While we are taking reasonable precautions, based on state and local guidelines, to provide a safe environment, we cannot guarantee the safety of all involved. If you are concerned about your personal safety, we would suggest that you forego the in-person 10K race and instead consider the virtual 5K option.
If you choose to participate in the virtual 5K event, we ask that you choose a route that does not conflict with the 10K route taking place on Saturday, April 17th.
If you are not running or walking the 10K course, it is required that you wear a face covering while at the event.
Wearing a face covering is not required while completing the 10K course.
Spectators are not allowed at this event.
Runners will be released onto the course every 5 seconds.
Please do not arrive at the race venue until 9:15 AM
