What races are included in the Planet Fitness Mayorthon?
There are four races that are part of this series:
- Louisville Pure Tap® 5K on Sept. 7, 2024
- Bourbon & Beyond 5K on Sept. 21, 2024
- Norton Sports Health 4-Miler on Sept. 30, 2024
- Race the Runway 5.02K on Nov. 16, 2024
What will I receive for participating?
ALL participants will receive race-specific tri-blend shirts and custom finisher medals. Participants who complete all four races will also receive a Mayorthon Challenge Coin.
When is the last day to register?
The last day to register for the Planet Fitness Mayorthon race series is Sept. 7, 2024.
Do I have to register for the series to receive the Challenge Coin, or can I register for the individual races?
You must register for the Planet Fitness Mayorthon series to be eligible to receive the Challenge Coin. You can register for the individual races and still receive the race-specific tri-blend shirts and custom finisher medals.
May walkers participate?
Yes, walkers may participate.
Are headphones, ipods or MP3 players permitted?
You may wear your headphones, ipods or MP3 players; however, we ask that you keep the volume at a reasonable level for your own safety and out of courtesy for fellow participants.
You should still be able to hear participants and volunteers in proximity to you.
Do I need to return the chips?
No. We are using disposable chips that DO NOT need to be turned in after the race.
Are strollers allowed?
Yes. Strollers are allowed. However, you will be asked to start at the back of the chute for the safety of the other participants.
Will there be in-race hydration?
Yes. All races will include water stations along the course routes. Participants may also bring their own water bottles to minimize the need to stop at on-course hydration stations.
What types of wheelchairs are allowed?
Push-rims are the only style of wheelchair allowed. The top male/female wheelchairs will be recognized.
Are there bathrooms on the course?
No. Bathrooms will not be on any of the courses, but there will be porta-pots at the start/finish line and porta-pots at the water stop.
What is the cancellation policy?
Sorry, there are no refunds for cancellations.
