Description
Join us for the City Youth Ballet 5k and 1 Miler, a race to support the arts and youth in our community!
Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or bringing the whole family, this event is perfect for everyone.
By participating, you'll help continue the tradition of fostering young talent in the performing arts in Stanly and surrounding counties.
About City Youth Ballet:
For over two decades, City Youth Ballet has been dedicated to increasing awareness and involvement of youth in the performing arts within our community. Since 1998, more than 700 local youth have taken the stage in our production of The Nutcracker. This beloved ballet offers young participants the opportunity to work alongside professional artistic and technical directors, as well as guest artists, to create a high-quality production.
City Youth Ballet not only encourages young people to perform but also to learn about all aspects of production, from stage design to marketing. Our program also provides cultural education experiences to local school children, often offering free tickets to performances through community sponsorships.
Our goal is to make ballet and the performing arts accessible and enjoyable for all, ensuring that ticket prices remain affordable for everyone. The Nutcracker is a fun, fast-paced, and visually stunning introduction to ballet, perfect for all ages.
