School is about to end, so let the hiking begin!  Beginning the week of Tuesday, June 11, the Passport Outdoor Program (P.0.P.) will begin its 5th  year!  All Stanly County public, private and home-school students who were 4th or 5th graders during the 2018-19 school year are invited to attend this FREE outdoor summer program.  The Passport Outdoor Program, P.O.P., will be hosted at Morrow Mountain State Park and sponsored by Atrium Health Stanly and the Stanly Health Foundation.

Daniel Harkey, Passport to Health instructor, will lead P.O.P. as participants explore the hiking trail system at Morrow Mountain State Park, putting their health lessons into action. On your participants assigned day they will meet from 9 a.m. until noon to enjoy a fun and challenging hike. Trail-side snacks, water, and lunch will be provided FREE for all participants. PLEASE NOTICE that participants are not required to hike all 7 hikes; you can participant in accordance to what works for your family's summer schedule. Your participants schedule will be emailed. If email is not an option for your family other arrangements will be made for delivering your schedule.
