Burnsville Fit Families 5K Cancelled for 2020
After much discussion and careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Burnsville Fit Families 5K. As you may remember, the 11th Annual Burnsville Fit Families 5K was scheduled to take place on May 16, 2020, but was postponed to October 3rd due to COVID-19. Since making the decision to postpone, we have continued to keep a close watch on the ever-changing situation around COVID-19. As recommendations and restrictions around COVID-19 have evolved, and case numbers in our area have continued to increase, we feel cancelling the race is the best decision. While we are disappointed, the health and safety of our participants, sponsors, and community supporters is our top priority.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all navigate our way through these unprecedented times. We look forward to hosting the Burnsville Fit Families 5K in 2021.
Description
Every spring we host a community race through downtown Burnsville that’s family-friendly, fun, and fitness-oriented. At PATH, we know developing healthy habits at a young age is a great way to make them stick. That’s why youth under the age of 18 run the Fit Families 5K for free! We want kids to learn sooner rather than later that exercise isn’t just good for you, it’s a lot of fun, too!

*8:00 am: Doors Open for Packet Pick-up & Race Day Registration (First Baptist Church, Burnsville, NC)
*8:45 am: Race Day Registration ends
*9:00 am: Race begins - Burnsville Town Square
