Lisha's Helping Hands is a non-profit organization in Charlotte, NC that gives back to the community through various events and programs. MyNu Project is a mentoring program in Charlotte, NC, designed to give children a safe space to flourish while being encouraged to reach their potential. The founders, Shalisha Hardwrich (LHH) and Deede Hardwrich (Mynu), who are also sexual assault survivors, are hosting this event to help make a change for victims. Team up with us in April for sexual assault awareness month as we walk for a cause. Many victims, just like domestic violence survivors, are not treated as victims and are not heard. Which in turn causes the victim to blame themselves amongst other feelings. This walk is important because it's time to give women, men, boys and girls a voice! This walk is to give people a platform to help others that may be suffering in silence. Proceeds raised from this event will be donated to safe alliance (www.safealliance.org). A nonprofit organization dedicated to building a continuum of shelter, advocacy and counseling services to empower those struggling with domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and emotional trauma.
