Description
The Charlotte Regional Realtor® Association’s Housing Opportunity Foundation strives to affect a better quality of life in the Charlotte region by promoting affordable homeownership, providing funding to create housing opportunities, and encouraging volunteerism and philanthropic activities by Realtors®.
The foundation is a non-profit umbrella organization for the association’s focus on affordable workforce housing.
Proceeds from the Strides for Shelter will benefit the creation of a new 120-unit apartment complex for chronically homeless individuals. Based on the success of Moore Place, the apartments will be developed by Urban Ministry Center in conjunction with the Housing First Charlotte-Mecklenburg initiative.
