The second of four races in the 2013 Summit Twilight Racing Series, the Summit Solstice 4-mile Obstacle Challenge, merges road running and friendly obstacles for this evening of tremendous fun. Run through tires? Perhaps. Hopscotch for 100 yards? Maybe. Prepare for the 4-mile road race ... and whatever else comes your way.
The event benefits Nothing But Nets, part of the U.N. Foundation, is a global grassroots campaign to raise awareness and funding to fight malaria, a leading cause of death among children in Africa. Nothing But Nets works with UN partners like UNICEF, the UN Refugee Agency, and the World Health Organization to purchase nets, transport them to Africa, and distribute them to families.

Awards will be given for the top 3 males and females overall, plus awards for age groups: top 3 in ages 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+

A unique, challenging 4-mile road course through scenic Davidson, past churches and homes, along scenic paved greenways, and finishing on Lorimer Road near Summit Coffee. Oh, and there will be obstacles! Be prepared!
All runners get free entry to Summit’s fantastic post-race festival, with live music, food, beer, and awards.
