The 12th Annual Durham Academy Turkey Trot

Registration and Event Details:

We’re bringing back turkey chasing and Huffin' for the Stuffin' at DA's 12th Annual Turkey Trot!  Join us on campus for a 5K and Fun Run on Sunday, Nov. 14th.  This in person event includes a competitive 5K — open to runners and walkers or all ages — and a Fun Run event for all our trotters ages 10 and under. Our 5K is USA Track & Field-certified with chip timing for immediate results. Friends, family and members of the Durham Academy community are encouraged to join us for an afternoon of exercise, food truck treats, field events and field activities! 

Not able to join us on campus or unavailable that day?  We’ve got you covered  -- Register for the Virtual 5k and run a 5K over the race weekend and submit your results by Nov. 14.  All virtual participants who submit a time online will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Registrants prior to Wed, Oct. 27, will be guaranteed a T-shirt. which is included as part of the race fee for 5k participants. Fun Run participants can purchase a tshirt for a nominal fee.  Online registration closes at midnight on Nov. 10, but you can also register on race day at the check-in desk until 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for participation and for division top runners.

Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run: Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021

• 12:30 p.m.: Check-in and pre-race warm up
• 2 p.m.: 5K begins (all registrations must be received by 1:30 p.m. for chip timing)
• 2:50: Bouncing Bulldog Performance on track
• 3 p.m.: Fun Run begins - children are divided into age group heats to try to catch the “turkey” before he makes it around the Upper School track 
• Until 4 p.m. closing: Enjoy food trucks and field activities for the whole family; don’t forget to bring a cash or credit card for special treats
