Description
The Walk from Obesity is the nation's largest gathering of individuals affected by obesity. Join the Duke Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery as we walk to raise money for research, education, prevention, and treatment of obesity.
The Walk from Obesity welcomes all types of individuals to participate. Participants include those who have successfully treated their obesity, family members and friends, those who continually struggle with obesity and members of the public who are interested in advancing the cause of fighting obesity.
This is a non-competitive, 2-mile walk. Funds raised from the Walk support the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization.
