The Boomerang Beer & Brat Fun Run - 5k or 1 Mile

The Boomerang is a Beer & Brat Fun Run with 5k and 1 mile options.  A boomerang is an Australian throwing club that can be thrown as to return to the thrower.  In the same fashion this Beer and Brat  run may come right back at you.  Expect to eat a foot long bratwurst, drink a couple beers and have some good old fashioned fun!!  Bread buns, sauerkraut, mustard and barf bags not promised on race course.  

Bring extra clothing to exchange with your new friends at our clothing exchange pointS along the course (maybe that Christmas sweater or your grandmother's nightie).  

Sport your best Down Under attire and outrageous Silly Wear.  Super Heroes, Super Models and Super Stars are encouraged to dress their best ...or worst. Prizes awarded for best dressed, worst dressed and best Aborigine costume.

Stay after the run for Karaoke Challenges, Best Dance Moves, Costume judging, and a Bratwurst eating competition.

Participants must be 18 years or older on race day. Participants must be 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages at the event.  Carrot and jungle juice (Kool-aid) alternatives available by choice.  Participants under the age of 21, will not be served alcoholic beverages.  

The SOC is proud to support our community by accepting non-perishable, non-expired food donations in lieu of parking fees.

All participants will receive a Long Sleeve Moisture Wicking Race T-Shirt uniquely designed for this event. T-Shirt sizes guarantted for registrations through December 31st.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/REMINDERS:

* Please remember that all participants and spectators must sign a Special Operators Challenge Release of Liability and Waiver and must present a valid photo I.D.  No one will be allowed entrance to the course or vendor area without these items.  Those under 18 years of age are not permitted on the course.

** It is our recommendation to not eat before you come.  Additionally wear proper footwear, eye protection, and clothes you don't mind leaving behind with a new friend.  Challengers may be cold because this event is in January for crying out loud.  Dress for the weather and make your mother proud. Wool, polyester, and layered nylon such as a bikini on top are recommended.  If you have a fur bikini even better.   SOC is not responsible for the loss of dignity from selfies posted on Facebook, damage or theft of any personal items, valuables, electronics, or property that you wear on the course, bring to the event venue or leave behind.
