UPDATE on 2/13/2020: Finisher Medals for the 10k and 5k have been SOLD OUT as of 2/12 at Midnight. We still have finisher medals available for 1 Mile participants. If you sign up after 2/12 at midnight, you will NOT receive a finisher medal when you finish. However, please check back with us after the events take place. We may have participants that are a NO SHOW or elect to not have a finisher medal.
If you register after 2/12 at midnight, your bibs will be available for pickup at the walk-up registrations table.
The 28th Annual Frostbite 10K & 5K Run & 1-Mile Run/Walk, presented by Couch Mountain Community, takes place on Sunday, February 16th in Fletcher, North Carolina. Both courses provide views of Hutch Mountain and are on hilly to challenging terrain, with some steep inclines on both the 10k and 5k courses. The moderately rolling 1 mile course, makes this premier racing event an opportunity for all running levels and ages.
NEW FOR 2020 - Finisher Medals! The 2020 Frostbite Races are limited to the following participant caps per event: 300 participants in the 5k, 150 participants in the 10k and 100 participants in the One Mile event. Finisher Medals will be provided up to this number of participants for each event. Finisher Medals are guaranteed to participants that register before February 9th at midnight or after we reach the participation caps for an event (whichever comes first).
The Frostbite races begin and finish at the Lelia Patterson Center, located at Howard Gap Road & Naples Road in Fletcher, N.C. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the The iDream Athletes Foundation. The 2020 Frostbite event also will feature a Family Fun Day and Wellness Expo at the Lelia Patterson Center from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with games, local vendor booths, & music.
The closest parking option for race day is the Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist Church at 1141 Howard Gap Road. Overflow parking is available across the street from the AdventHealth Hospital on Naples Drive (EVENT PARKING signs will mark the spaces).

Participants can upgrade their short sleeve shirt to a long sleeve (unisex fitted) shirt for $5 before February 3rd. Did you sign up for the 5k and now you want to switch to the 10k? Or perhaps you didn't get all your training in and you signed up for the 10k and need to switch to the 5k?
The deadline to make this switch is February 12th at midnight! To transfer from one event to another, follow along with the instructions in this video, or email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance!
There will be NO refunds for this event. Entries are non-transferable. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions. If there are unfavorable weather conditions or reasons outside our control that effect our ability to host the event on February 16th, this event will be re-scheduled for Sunday, February 23rd. If the event is rescheduled due to the weather or '"Acts of God" and you are not able to attend on the re-scheduled date, registration fees are NOT refundable or transferable for the following year or for another upcoming idaph event. In the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God," registration fees are NOT refundable or transferable for the following year. Expenses for the event have been incurred and are paid up-front regardless if the event takes place or not. In the event of a natural disaster or "Act of God" that would prohibit the event from taking place, the event will not be re-scheduled, it would be canceled.
