The Community Foundation Run 2016

Founded in 1978, the Foundation currently manages more than $83 million in assets and 370 charitable funds. As a leader in philanthropic giving in Gaston County, the Foundation focuses on coordinating donors and needs of our community. Run 2016 is an opportunity to unite community volunteers,  donors, and businesses in fun camaraderie to support non-profits in Gaston County.

Important Information
When: Saturday, April 16, 2016; 8:00 am 5k Run and 2k Walk (Registration closes at 7:00 am for 5k and 2k)
Where: Rotary Pavilion, Downtown Gastonia (Start/Finish at Main Avenue and South Street. The Run winds through the historic York Chester neighborhood)
What: Certified 5k Run, 2k Fun Walk, non-profit booth exhibits, cornhole tournament, Healthy Kids Zone
Who: Walkers and runners of all ages, participating non-profits, community spectators?

Packet Pick-up will be Monday April 11th to Friday April 15th from 9am-5pm at The Community Foundation.

Overall Male/Female Winner (not eligible for age group awards)

1st and 2nd place Male/Female Winner in the following age categories:
9 and under    30-34        55-59
10-14             35-39        60-64
15-19             40-44        65-69
20-24             45-49        70 and up
25-29             50-54

Thank you for supporting the good works of non-profits in Gaston County! Your 100% tax deductible gift will be matched with the funds donated by the Community Foundationand raised specifically for the Match Fund.

The Match Fund:
What is the Match Fund? A collective fund of money shared by all participating non-profits.
Where do match funds come from? The Community Foundation, sponsor donations and individuals like you!
How is the match percentage calculated? Matching Funds Available divided by Non-Profit Dollars Eligible for Match ($10,000 cap per organization).
 
How can I contribute? Simply notate your contributions on the Donor Form and include in your total contribution.

Complete Donor Form and mail (PO Box 123, Gastonia, NC 28053) or deliver (1201 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054) to the Community Foundation.
Make your gift before 5:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016
Gifts CANNOT include membership dues, pledge payments, fees or event entries.
To receive gifts, organization must be a registered participant in Run 2016. Refer to included list, our website www.cfgaston.org or call charity of your choice to determine qualification.
