The Docare Foundation winter’s 5K Run/Walk is raising awareness and funds to help end homelessness. Over half a million Americans go homeless on a single night in the United States. About 35 percent (just under 200,000) are found sleeping unsheltered on our streets in places not intended for human habitation, such as sidewalks, parks, cars, or abandoned buildings.

This is our chance to link arms with those who experience homelessness and listen humbly to their stories. It centers on an annual Run/Walk, 5k miles around the city's streets in November, one of the year's coldest month. Our chance to show the homeless people that this city cares about their lives and affirm our commitment to do all it takes to ease their struggles.

The Winter 5K Run/Walk is proudly presented with prospective sponsors and partners. Greensboro is a city that prides itself on its resilience and community spirit. The Winter Walk brings together several Greater Greensboro’s incredible homeless service programs to show the powerful work in our city. It is an annual event and will be held on November 28th, 2020, in Downtown Greensboro. Ending Homelessness Is Within Our Reach.

Registration starts now, and we are expecting over 10,000 people to register to raise awareness and run/walk shoulder to shoulder, homeless and housed. We’ll keep running and walking together until we end homelessness. Sign up now!
