Fins Up 5K Fun Run/Walk

It’s 5K Somewhere…and that somewhere is the Wyndham Championship!

Join us for the inaugural Fins Up 5K Fun Run/Walk on August 6 at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., to kick off the 2024 Wyndham Championship and celebrate the life and spirit of Jimmy Buffett, whose laid-back, island-escapist ethos is the foundation for the PGA tournament's tropical oasis, Margaritaville at the Wyndham. Set for August 7-11, this year marks the 85th edition of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event.

Fins Up 5K will have an approximate distance of 3.1 miles, with a route incorporating the ready-for-action Wyndham Championship course and surrounding neighborhood (final race route is subject to change). As participants make their way through the scenic course one day before the pros, you'll be taking a Margaritaville-themed challenge, Margaritaville Maker Marker, picking up ingredients at each mile marker to make a delicious margarita cocktail. (These items will be able to take away and cannot be consumed on the premises.)

Participants will receive great race swag, including an official tie dye T-Shirt (register before July 20 to guarantee shirt size), a ticket to the 2024 Wyndham Championship (round of choice), and entry to the post-run party at the Margaritaville at the Wyndham fan amenity, featuring live music by a Jimmy Buffett cover band and more. Participants will also receive one complimentary beverage ticket (21+ only) for the post-run party. 

Prizes for the winners to include multi-day stays at Club Wyndham resorts and Wyndham Rewards loyalty program points.

A portion of proceeds from Fins Up will benefit our friends at Singing for Change, which funds organizations that inspire personal growth, community integration, and the enhanced awareness that collectively, people can bring about positive change.

**We strongly recommend that all race participants arrive at the starting point no later than 5:00 p.m. on race day. Registration on race day will end at 5:30 p.m. No exceptions. If you do not have your bib by 5:30 p.m., you will not receive an official finish time or be eligible for any awards.

All race participants must be finished by 7:30 p.m

**Awards will be distributed at the post-race party, starting shortly after the final participant crosses the finish line. Awards can be shipped following the event if a prepaid postage envelope (for two pounds) is sent to the race organization within one week of the event. **Raffle will be held at the post-race party. The raffle ticket will be distributed with your race packet. You must be present at the raffle to claim prizes.

TIMER

Chip Timing will be provided by Junction 311 Endurance Sports. Results will be available as soon as the runner crosses the finish line.  We will place unique QR codes around the event, which people can scan to see their results.

There will be one packet pick-up prior to race day, TBD.

The packet pickup (as well as final registration) on race day will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
