Walk, run, bike, stroll, or wheel your way to health by traveling 2 miles per day for 2 months over the summer. 2 miles is equal to approximately 4,000-5,000 steps. You can use this to motivate you to just get out for a stroll, or use it as a 2 mile warm up while training for a race. This is a virtual race- but feel free to post pictures for accountability on your social media with the hashtag #racingforresourcesSpM
You can also join our Facebook Group for accountability! Post photos of your step/mile tracker, share pics of your scenic views, or ask questions and share your own wealth of knowledge with others on how to keep moving- no matter what your day brings. https://www.facebook.com/groups/704527397033382/
Racing for Resources is a 2-Mile-a-Day Walk/Run Challenge to raise money for Signposts Ministries. Signposts Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves families that have children with special healthcare needs in the greater Charlotte area.
Signposts Ministries is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit. We serve families that have children with special healthcare needs by connecting them with equipment, resources, and their community. This is done mainly through:
All donations will go toward keeping the Signposts Family Resource Center open for nonprofit use. We currently provide this space free to the local public school system's exceptional children's program and have a "pay what you're able" agreement with other non-profits. This fundraiser will allow us to continue offering this space to our community for a minimal cost while being able to make needed improvements and maintenance on the building.
