2013 City of Lenoir Triathlon

Registration for the 13th Annual City of Lenoir Triathlon.

The event begins with a 250 meter pool swim in the Lenoir Aquatic and Fitness Center pool. Participants traverse an out and back pattern through each lane before proceeding to the bike ride.

The bike course is a 16km out and back course on smooth, rural country roads. The scenery is wonderful, with quiet meadows framed against the backdrop of the southern foothills. A few of these hills encroach upon the course, but the climbs are few and well spaced. Intersections are clearly marked and staffed by helpful volunteers.

The 5K run is an out & back course from the Fitness Center. The course is run mainly on the beautiful Lenoir Greenway, with aid stations are positioned every 1.5 miles. The final climb to the finish is the only major hill on the run course, and adds an exclamation point to the final leg of the event. Camaraderie and snacks (special thanks to Subway for their continued support of our event!) await your arrival.

The City of Lenoir Triathlon is the perfect venue for the beginner, and a great tune-up event for more seasoned triathletes. Come out and enjoy the competition, the scenery, and the friendship; you'll be glad you did!
