Tutu's & Tennis Shoes

The Tutus & Tennis Shoes Run and Walk is a fundraiser for the Carolina Dance Company. Proceeds from this event will be used to involve and enrich McDowell County and surrounding communities with outstanding performances of dance and innovative educational opportunities. 

Runners (or walkers) of all experience are invited to participate. This will be a FUN event for everyone! Kids are welcome to participate!!

The Tutus & Tennis Shoes run will be timed for those who like to know their time (5K); however, if you’d rather not know your time, you don’t have to follow the results.

The route will take you around beautiful down town Marion and the pea gravel trail! Their will be police and workers throughout the raceway. Roads will be blocked for the safety of the participants as needed! 

At the completion of the race, there will be a Awards Ceremony! Where all age divisions, Male & Female will receive 1st - 3rd place awards. We will also give out many special awards including; Best Tutu and Tennis Shoes, Youngest and Oldest Runners, and Overall Fastest Run Time! 

Carolina Dance Company Staff, dancers, parents, and volunteers will be along the route to guide the runners, cheer them on, and hand out water at water stations.  We are hoping to have a safe, fun event for all of our participants!

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Early Registration (Now-Oct.22): $40 
Race Day Registration: $40 (cash ONLY)  

We will have awesome T-Shirts for purchase on the race day as well TUTU's, made by our very own dancers during summer camp this past season! 

The Race will begin in the Carolina Dance Company Parent drop off ally way and also end here! (Pink balloons and flags will be places to help guide runners.)
