The Details:
5K route through the Silver Creek Plantation neighborhood feature an out-and-back run.
5K Cost: $25 before June 25th; $30 after & on-site
1 Mile Fun Run (non-competitive) Cost: $15 before June 25th; $20 after & on-site
1 Mile Competitive Youth Run Cost: $15 before June 25th; $20 after & on-site
All 5K finishers receive a finisher's medal and race t-shirt. 1 Mile Fun Run finishers receive a race t-shirt and can purchase a medal for $5 on race day.
Can't make the race date but want to support the charity partner? Register to be a Virtual Participant, run the 3.1 mile distance as you're able, and we'll mail you the race swag (shirt and medal)! Virtual Participant Cost is $25. We use an honor system and there is no requirement to prove your time or when you've completed the distance.
Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up:
Packet Pick-up will be June 28th at Workout Anytime in Morganton NC from 5:30-7pm.
Race Day Information:
On-site registration & Packet Pick-up - 7am-7:40am
Race Start Time - 8am
Age Groups & Awards:
Overall Male and Female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers as well as Age Group Male and Female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers will be recognized for the 5K. Age Categories will be:
<10 years old 40-49 years old
10-14 years old 50-59 years old
15-19 years old 60-69 years old
20-29 years old 70+ years old
30-39 years old
Male and female age group winners will be recognized in the following categories for the 1 Mile Competitive Youth Run:
<5 years old
6-10 years old
11-15 years old
Post-Race Information:
Following the event, step into Papa's Grill at the Silver Creek Plantation Clubhouse and enjoy post-race pancakes, a post-race beer, or both (not included in the race entry fee)!
Charity Partner:
Friends of the Airmen and Family Readiness Center (FAFRC), a non-profit which has been helping airmen and their families in NC for the past nine years, focuses on two main projects: (1) providing funds that support members of the 145th Airlift Wing with various financial needs and (2) funding Operation Kids on Guard Deployment Day. A donation to FAFRC will be made from the event proceeds.
