THE RACE


Calling all our neighbors, artists, athletes, and friends to take a break and get moving this spring!  Step away from your computer, Zoom meeting, put down your paint brush or clarinet and go outside.

Walk or run the Run for the Arts Virtual 5K. You can walk/run in your neighborhood, a park, trail, or even the beach.

Choose from the 5K or the Family & Neighbors Challenge and run/walk 30 miles over 30 days.

A cooling towel is guaranteed to participants who register by 11:59pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021!

THE COURSE


Run or walk anywhere you want!  You can run/walk in your neighborhood, park, trail, or the beach.

If you want to run our official course, below is the description and map.

This 5K course will take participants through Holden Beach, featuring scenic water views of both the Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The race will then finish back at the track inside the park.

5K Awards
• Top 3 Overall, Male & Female
• Top 3 Overall in Age Groups, Male & Female:
15 & Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Awards will be mailed to winners after the conclusion of the virtual event.

THE CAUSE

HOW YOUR REGISTRATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Many artists and organizations in Brunswick County have been challenged to keep programs and activities going during the pandemic. The Brunswick Arts Council is dedicated to the arts – making cultural events, arts education & appreciation of the arts available to the diverse range of county residents. The proceeds from this race will help support arts grants, scholarships and programming services across Brunswick County.
