Description
The Holiday Buffaloe 5000 is the fastest virtual 5k you can find, as our goal is for you to run 12 1/2 laps on the track at Buffaloe Road Athletic Park. Flat, fast, and ACCURATE! While not required, this will be a way to show off your 2020 (solo) training! Run alone or with your "pod." All entrants get a Holiday Buffaloe 5000 shirt, with artwork from Bobby Peavey, who has created the Sir Walter Miler, Raleigh Half Marathon, and Tin Man Elite logos.
Simply run 5000 meters on the Buffaloe Road Athletic Park Track (or any track, or on the roads/trail) and upload your time by 11:59 PM on Festivus (December 23) to enter the standings. We'll have some fun Sir Walter Running prizes for Overall and Age Group Winners. There's even a Strava segment.
All proceeds go to support the Raleigh Rescue Mission. Raleigh Rescue Mission transforms lives of homeless men, women and children by ministering to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
