Description
We would like to invite you to the 1st annual Rockfish Run 5K!
This event is in conjunction with the Canal Festival on May 6th, 2017. Festival information can be found at www.roanokecanal.com or by searching Facebook for Roanoke Canal Museum and Trail.
The Canal Festival offers a fun, family filled day of things to do (so bring the enitre family for the day)(live music, food, bounce houses, rock walls, games and much more)
5k Kicks off at 10am
Packet Pick up and Race Registration: 8:45-9:45am
At The Roanoke Canal Museum
The first ever Rockfish Run will be an experimental trail run. Participants will be encouraged to evaluate the event to ensure that we are constantly improving the experience year after year.
We will manually time the 5K Run, It will be limited to the 1st 75 runners!
We will score the event by awarding the TOP 10 Finishers with a one year membership to SFX Spartan Xtreme Fit, located in Roanoke Rapids, NC! Other prizes may be awarded based on the number of race entries.
T shirt Dead Line will be April 27th (so sign up early)

Trail run, mostly hard natural surface. Easy to moderate as far as elevation goes. Race will start at Canal Museum and run to the Roanoke Rapids Lake Dam and back.
