Description
Interested in keeping your kids active this summer? We have the perfect 8 week program for kids ages 4-12!
Join Fleet Feet and coach Eddie Walters for Marathon Kids. Marathon Kids is a fun program to keep kids healthy and active!
THE DETAILS:
Cost: $15 for the entire program
When: We meet weekly on Wednesdays from June 12th through July 31st.
Time: 6pm
Location: Phares Park - S. 84th Street & Glynoaks Dr., Lincoln, NE US 68516
The goal of the program is to keep kids active while teaching them that running can be fun! Throughout the program kids can track their progress on a sheet of paper provided online. Then at the end of the program they can see how many marathons they ran along the way! We will include tips on how to create quarter mile distances at home (for days other than Wednesday) and fun games for siblings and parents to participate with their kiddos! The quarter miles can be running, walking, skipping, jumping, or a fun activity that will keep you moving! This program highly encourages kids to take things at their own pace. There is no specific requirements, we want all kids to join! We will coach kids to walk, run, & finish their goals!
Coach Eddie has got a few fun events planned all centered around learning to love running! He will plan on having a meet the cop night, crazy hat night and fun nights that involve water to keep us cool! This year we will host Kona Ice one of the nights for the kids to enjoy after they run!
Age range is 4-12 years old. Parents are encouraged to hangout and join in the fun. Be sure to bring a water bottle each night!
Weather- we will use the remindme app and email to communicate with parents. We would cancel for bad weather or a high heat risk.
After you register, coach Eddie will be in touch with an email with all of the details on what to expect for the program, and all of the necessary tools to keep your kids moving!
