This August, the Stinson Lake 5 K Run/Walk will celebrate its 11th anniversary as an annual fundraiser for the Stinson Lake Association's Lake Host Program, which actively works to keep aquatic invasive species out of Stinson Lake. This program is essential to protecting the lake and ensuring its cleanliness for generations to come. Once again, we are offering options for both an in-person race as well as a virtual option for those who wish to complete the 5K on their own.

Sponsor Info

Sponsorships must be secured by July 12th and are tax deductible. Also, of note, the Stinson Lake Association recently received 1% for the Planet status, meaning it's an accredited environmental partner committed to conservation and sustainability.

All proceeds go to the Stinson Lake Association's Lake Host program, which conducts boat and water-quality checks to keep the lake free of invasive aquatic species, thus protecting its integrity for generations to come.

1% for the Planet

We are pleased to announce the Stinson Lake Association has joined 1% for the Planet as an environmental partner!

1% for the Planet is an accountability partner for businesses that are ready to reject business as usual and give back to environmental partners making a difference around the globe. Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, their members have given hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental partners to date.
