The Fast and The Furriest 5k Virtual Run/Walk (Draft)

The Fast and The Furriest is proud to host its first annual virtual Run/Walk. This Run/Walk is an excellent opportunity for you, your friends, your canine companions, and your family to help us raise money for Nakiyah (Munchie) Ramsey Service dog. This means you can Run and Walk anywhere and anytime. 

Nakiyah has faced her challenges medically and is a trooper in handling it. She has had multiple surgeries to help fix or maintain her health issues. About 4-5 years ago Nakiyah became extremely ill and was diagnosed with a rare disease called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome also known as CVS. CVS is a disorder that cause recurrent episodes of nausea, vomiting, extreme pain, diarrhea, dizziness, sensitivity to light, headaches, retching and gagging; there is no cure for CVS. Medications does not stop an event from occurring, but it can help stop the throwing up. The neurologist is treating Nakiyah (Munchie) has suggested we look into a service dog for her. The purpose of the service dog is to help detect a change in her body so that she/we can prepare her for an oncoming episode. The dog will help Nakiyah during and after episodes to help her recover quickly and completely.

Your donation will help with the expense of acquiring and training the service dog. We will be working closely with Merlin Kids Service Dogs, Janice Wolfe, a highly recommended service dog trainer here in NJ.
