The Sounds of Tomorrow Color Fun Run is an Annual 5K Color Run un-timed event held at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey. Thousands of participants , or (color runners) dressed in clean white t-shirts, pass through 5 color stations spaced about 1 kilometer apart. Runners are doused from head to toe in different non-toxic colored powder as the run pass each color station. Each color station is associated with a different color, with volunteers spraying the runners as the run by with dyed cornstarch out of bottles. Once all the runners complete the course, the fun continues with an unforgettable live concert featuring performance by Wyclef Jean and a few surprise artist.
This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing and massive color throws, which create millions of vivid color combinations when the powder is thrown in the sky. This event brings together the people of Newark and surrounding communities helping to make Essex county a happier, healthier place. It also helps to create an experience that’s more about making memories than your mile per minutes, making running feel accessible to a broader demographic. This will be one of the best post-5K parties on the planet!
