Join us for a Virtual Firecracker 5K: Wednesday June 16 through Wednesday June 30. Proceeds benefit YWCA Princeton in our mission to Eliminate Racism and Empower Women. Our programs are designed to address the byproducts of inequity: affordability and accessibility. These include The Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center at YWCA Princeton, Breast Cancer Resource Center, English as a Second Language, and much more!
Participants will complete the 5K at their own pace between Wednesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 30. We recommend using a site like: https://onthegomap.com/#/create to layout a 5K course in your own neighborhood. Those wishing to compete for fastest runner may enter their time results. Instructions are below.
Cost: There is no registration fee, but we do challenge participants to fundraise alongside us! Our overall fundraising goal for the 2021 Firecracker is $20,000--your support is critical in helping us reach our goal! This website allows you to create your own page and share on social media. It's as easy as asking 10 friends for $10! Join the fun for a good cause.
T-shirts: Participants registering by Friday, June 11th will receive a t-shirt. After that point, t-shirts will be based on availability. Distribution will be at YWCA Princeton location only. T-shirts will not be mailed. Distribution times and dates will be communicated by staff.
Kickoff: Participants will receive a recorded video message from our CEO, Tay Walker, on Wednesday, June 16th.
Awards: We will give a medal for first place female and male runners as well as for top individual fundraiser and top team fundraiser.
Virtual Closing Ceremony: Participants will receive an email invite with link to participate in our virtual closing ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, July 1st at 5:30 pm. Awards will be announced at the ceremony.

Submitting Your Time: If you would like to compete for fastest runner, please enter the time it took to complete your 5K to the RunSignUp platform. Results are due in by 12noon on Thursday, July 1. There are two ways to do this:
1. From RunSignup Race Page
Navigate to the race's RunSignup race page > and select the Result tab > then select Submit Virtual Results
Next search for your registration either by first and last name or by email address and DOB.
Once you have found your registration select Submit Virtual Results > Enter in your time > then select Submit Results
2. From Your RunSignup Profile
Navigate to your RunSignup profile by selecting the Profile Icon at the top right hand corner
Under your Upcoming Events > Select Submit Virtual Results > Enter in your Time > select Submit Time
