Spastic Paraplegia Foundation 4th Annual 5k Run, Walk, Ride or Roll

Chasing a cure for Spastic Paraplegia - the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation (SPF) "Annual 5k Run, Walk, Ride or Roll" event is scheduled during #HSP&PLS Awareness Week of  August 21 – 27, 2022.

Do you run, walk, hike, ride or swim outdoors or indoors? If so, here is an opportunity to support the Heredity Spastic Paraplegia Foundation health and wellness goal of chasing a cure for two rare neurological disorder - Heredity Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) and Primary Lateral Sclerosis, by actively participating and/or make donation to the 4th annual Spastic Paraplegia Foundation (SPF) 5k Run, Walk, Ride or Roll challenge! 

Our 5k challenge event(s) allows you to create your own virtual adventure by participating in outdoor or indoor activities that you love, using an exercise app if you so desire, choosing the distance that's right for you; and if you so desire, sharing your support of SPF’s 5k on social media, including the SPF Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SpasticParaplegiaFoundation/) during #HSP&PLS Awareness Week of August 21-27 with the tagline “I’m helping the SPF chase and find a cure for #HSP&PLS.” A 5k walk will also be hosted by the Garden State SPF Team @ Park Lake (participants meeting @ Park Lake Gazebo), 8 Mount Hope Road, Rockaway, NJ 07866 on Saturday, August 27, 2022 @ 8 am (rain or shine). 

SPF is the largest membership organization in the world of those affected by HSP & PLS. This is an opportunity to support the SPF’s health and wellness goal to fight two groups of rare progressive neurological disorders that lacks funding from the government for research to find treatments and cure - Heredity Spastic Paraplegia (HSP and Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS). SPF's Scientific Advisory Board of world-renowned scientists and doctors, who are expert in the field of Neurological disorders such as HSP & PLS, analyzes, grades and recommend funding of the most promising research proposals submitted to the foundation each year. Your support of this 5k event allows the SPF to continue its sponsorship/funding of these promising research and chase a cure for HSP and PLS. You can learn more about SPF @ sp-foundation.org.
