RUN LIKE JESUS 2021 (Draft)

Join us for the 2021 Run Like Jesus 5K & 1Mile Fun Run!

The Rise Up Running Club, based in Las Cruces, NM, is hosting this race as a fundraiser for Orchard Ministries, located in Ndola, Zambia. Orchard's own youth running team, the Young Lions, will be running alongside us in spirit at the same time in Ndola, Zambia! All race fees and donations will go 100% toward assisting these young men with food, education, and shelter; and will provide for their entry into more competitive races in and around Zambia!

  • Location: Pat & Lou Sisbarro Field, adjacent to the NMSU Football Stadium, in Las Cruces, NM 88003
  • Check-in / Same-day Registration: 6:30AM - 7:50AM
  • Start Time: 8:00AM
    
• Virtual Racers (Anywhere):
  • 6:00am - 11:59pm (MST)

REGISTRATION FEES, FREE OPTION, & DONATIONS:

• $40 Entry Fee (100% will be donated to Orchard Ministries, and you will get a Run Like Jesus t-shirt).
• ANYONE CAN REGISTER AND RUN FOR FREE! Just use the discount code "YoungLions" to register for free--all runners will receive a racing bib!

Who are the Young Lions? 

The Young Lions are a group of young runners, between the ages of 8 and 22, in Ndola, Zambia.  These boys are coached and cared for by the Orchard Ministries team. Through running, the Young Lions have experienced incredible life-lesson teaching opportunities, galvanized a special brotherhood, and surpassed numerous personal limitations. Through this process, everyone at Orchard Ministries and the Young Lions community in Zambia have become stronger, more useful, more durable, and more joyful.
