Greetings Runners and Walkers,
It is my pleasure to introduce you to an amazing opportunity to give back to Chaves County, by participating in the 1st Annual Walk for Hope 5K Virtual Race and Walk. ALL PROCEEDS RAISED will go directly to the Chaves County Cancer Fund. In 2018, we were able to provide the residents of Chaves County with over $100,000 dollars. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, for the last two years, Walk for Hope has not occurred, yet the need for assistance did not go away. We as a committee are counting on our PAST SPONSORS and NEW SPONSORS to help us to continue to meet the needs of our Chaves County Residents. The CHAVES COUNTY CANCER FUND provides caring support to families going through cancer treatment in form of food vouchers, utility bills, mortgage payments, and rent.
This year along with the Walk for Hope held at Gateway Christian Academy on October 1, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm, there will be a Virtual 5K Race and Walk to help raise financial support to give to the Chaves County Cancer Fund. The Virtual 5K Race/Walk will take place from August 1, 2022-October 1, 2022. You may participate at your leisure. You will need to record your time and upload it to the race website, and please take pictures of your group, a selfie, or friends/family participating in the race. Please upload your pictures to the race website. You are encouraged to get a group of friends and family together to participate in this fundraiser for the Chaves County Cancer Fund.
If you are a resident of Roswell, New Mexico we will meet on October 1 at Cielo Grande Recreation Area in front of the playground at 7:30 am to show our support by participating in the 5K Race/Walk live.
The goal for this race is to raise $20,000 dollars to help support the residents who are battling CANCER!
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHAVES COUNTY CANCER FUND!
