We're thrilled to launch the fifth annual 5K for FOXP1 Syndrome Awareness, bringing together participants from around the world to raise awareness and fund critical research into FOXP1 Syndrome.

What is FOXP1 Syndrome?

FOXP1 Syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by changes in the FOXP1 gene on chromosome 3. This gene helps regulate nervous system development and other body functions. When it doesn’t work properly, it can lead to a range of developmental challenges and medical needs.

About Us. 

The International FOXP1 Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by FOXP1 syndrome. We build community, share knowledge, inspire hope, encourage research, and raise awareness about this rare genetic disorder.

How to Participate 🏃‍♀️:

We’re offering two ways to participate again this year:
- Join virtually from wherever you are
- Take part in a local in-person event hosted by a community volunteer

Get Involved🏃‍♀️:
- Sign up as an individual
- Start a team or join an existing team
- Make a donation to support the cause
- Complete your 5K anytime during September 1 to 30 🌍

Registration:

Register anytime between June 1 and September 30. Early bird pricing is available through August 1.

Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. Whether you’re completing your first 5K or participating alongside a team, there is a place for everyone in this event.

Sponsorship:

Show your support for the 5K for FOXP1 through a corporate, individual, family, or local sponsorship. Your partnership helps advance research, raise awareness, and strengthen support for individuals and families impacted by FOXP1.
