Looking to get or stay motivated to be active in February? We are offering a unique TIMED challenge for you to consider.
Introducing our Pump It Up with STRC Challenge!
Were you aware that February is National Heart Month? The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of moderately paced activity per 7 day week. Let's rev up the engine of our bodies, the heart, as we try to keep it finely tuned and running like a well oiled machine.
What is this Challenge all about?
We want you to be active and healthy! Your goal each week, starting February 1st, is to achieve 150 minutes of activity for the week. Weeks will run Monday - Sunday. February has four weeks (Mon 2/1 - Sun 2/7, Mon 2/8 - Sun 2/14, Mon 2/15 - Sun 2/21, Mon 2/22 - Sun 2/28). Activities can include almost anything: running, walking, hiking, biking, swimming, dancing, snowshoeing, skiing, jumping jacks, burpees, ice skating, pushups, crunches, squats, weight lifting, Zumba, indoor cycling, etc. As long as you're the engine, it counts!
When does the event start?
The event starts on February 1, 2021.
When the does the event end?
The event concludes on February 28, 2021.
What swag is included with my entry fee?
Every participant will receive a custom Pump It Up with STRC ear warmer headband. Headbands will be mailed or delivered direct to your house.
Where do I log my daily minutes?
Participants will log their minutes on RunSignUp.com. Just login into your account and enter your daily times. Time entry in on your honor, but we will be checking to make sure all entries look legitimate.
Can I compete for prizes?
Yes! Each week, we will draw two random winners who have at least 150 minutes logged for a $25 gift card to Confluence Running, Corning and Corning Wegmans. There will be a total of 8 random winners. You are only allowed to win the random drawing once during the event.
At the end of the event we will award a custom sweatshirt to the male and female with the highest minute totals (must have completed at least 150 minutes per week to qualify).
Do I have to be active every day?
Technically, no; it is your challenge. Your goal is to accumulate at least 150 minutes of activity over a week (7 days).
