Event Description
Able2, is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been serving the Chemung County region for over 75 years. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those we support. On Sunday, October 11th we will be hosting our 7th Guts & Grit 5K and 1-Miler!
Whether you run, walk, roll or stroll, we invite you to bring your competitive spirit to Eldridge Park that morning for a day of fun, family, friends, fitness and fundraising for a good cause. Money raised from the race/walk will support the work of Able2: ensuring people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities develop their talents, reach their goals, and become strong contributors to their communities.
All ages and abilities are welcome!
Bib Pickup / Race Day Registration opens @ 8:30 AM
The 5K will start at 9:30 AM and the 1-Mile Walk will kick off immediately after at 9:35 AM
Register by Friday 9/18 to receive a FREE race T-Shirt!
Online Registration officially CLOSES on Wednesday 10/7 at 12:00 Noon EST

FAQ
SHIRTS: Anyone who registers by 9/18 will receive a race t-shirt.
Due to our deadline of needing to order shirts, anyone registering AFTER 9/18 will NOT receive a t-shirt. Shirts will be handed out the morning of race day. Unfortunately we cannot mail t-shirts, so if you do not participate on race day, you will not receive your shirt.
MEDALS: Medals will be given out to top finishers in both the 5K and the 1-Miler.
Bib pick up will be the morning of the race starting at 8:30 AM. We encourage you to arrive as early as possible so everyone is ready to begin their respective races on time.
Enter Eldridge Park using the Grand Central Ave. entrance and follow the road to the parking lot.
You will see the giant, blue Start/Finish Sign adjacent to the parking lot.
Yes, registration will be available on race day. Payment will be accepted via an online donation using a QR code or going to our website directly. We will have instructions at our registration table.
Parking is off of the Grand Central Ave Entrance of Eldridge Park. Follow the road until you see the giant Start/Finish Line and you will park in the lot adjacent to it. The parking lot is the lot located behing the Eldridge Park Carousel and near the soccer fields.
Yes, parking is free of charge.
We will have plenty of water bottles available at the registration/check in table donated kindly by Wegmans.
We will also have granola bars and bananas also provided by Wegmans.
The Eldridge Park restrooms will be open for use the day of the race.
The restrooms are located on the course.
