ABOUT THE EVENT
The Race Around the World is BACK!
Join us on Saturday, July 17, 2021 for the Sri Chinmoy 1 & 4 Mile Race "Around the World", featuring a mostly flat course (one small hill) through scenic Flushing Meadows Park. Choose one of the following 3 options:
1-Mile Race: Multiple starts between 8-9AM, TBA. An out-and-back course, the turnaround is a gentle 250-meter curve around the Unisphere.
4-Mile Race: Single start sometime between 9-9:30AM, TBA. Two laps around a 2-mile loop, which includes most of the 1-mile section described above (you get to run around the world twice!)
1+4 CHALLENGE: Are you up for the CHALLENGE? Run the 1-Mile Race, catch your breath and rest up, then set off on the 4-Mile Race! Competitors are eligible for awards in both the 1-mile and 4-mile races, and the top male and female finishers with the fastest combined 1-mile and 4-mile times each will receive "1+4 CHALLENGE" awards.
