FAISR Virtual Kilimanjaro Expedition 2020

The FAISR Summer trek up Kilimanjaro had to be postponed because of the current situation.

We are therefore excited to announce, the FAISR Virtual Kilimanjaro Expedition 2020.  One can walk, run, roll, or scooter in any location you choose in the world.  One can complete it on the road, on a trail, on a treadmill, or a track. You get to complete your race at your own pace. Everyone can participate in doing something healthy will performing a good deed.

• Distance: 24 miles (distance from Base to the Peak of  Mount Kilimanjaro). 

• Where: Can be completed anywhere on the globe and within current local regulations

• How: roll, scooter, walk, run, swim or bike.

• Completion date:   The 24 miles can be completed at your own pace (i.e., ¾ of a mile per day for 32 days, a mile a day for 24 random days). You have from the time you register until Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 11:59 PM to complete race and fundraising.

• Medals:  Every Participant receives a customized medal within 15 business days of completion and 6 Fundraising Trophies - Highest Fundraiser Team Trophy (for each category)

Friends of Access Israel (FAISR) is committed to the acceleration of the removal of actual and perceived barriers for people with disabilities and the elderly. Through education, advocacy, travel, and technology, our efforts are to foster an equitable environment where all people are valued, respected, and supported for the vast abilities they have.

Current times have made it more difficult to execute our work, as our much of FAISR requires close contact. We are facing unprecedented times, but that has not stopped FAISR from moving forward to continue to assist people with disabilities and the elderly.

Every dollar raised through the FAISR Virtual Kilimanjaro Expedition 2020,  goes towards supporting FAISR and it's global work
