NRC Youth Program is thrilled to welcome back Vincent Del Cid as manager! Coach Vince is a certified USA Track and Field running coach. He has a great deal of expertise working with developmentally and physically challenged athletes of different ages and abilities, and he has a lot of passion and dedication. He has coached profoundly autistic competitors in a number of highly competitive national events, including the U.S. Paralympics Track & Field, Boston Marathons and Ironman events.
He will lead the children through the FUN-damentals of running! Teaching techniques for running, including the skills and concepts for warming up, trail etiquette, stretching, sportsmanship and teamwork. Participants will be organized into 3 or more groups, based upon ability. This program is for children 9-13 years old who love to run with an emphasis on running-drills to run faster & improve running form! It's fun for everyone! Many who enter our program go on to run on their middle school and high school teams. Others take this knowledge and run more efficiently on their selected team sports. One way or the other, running is the basis of EVERY sport.
