Description
Welcome to the first ever Race for ERASE Racism charity 5K run! To participate in the fun, simply register through this page. When April 18th rolls around, run your race wherever and whenever you would like, tracking your time and chosen path through a fitness tracking phone application (we recommend Run Tracker!). If you would like to run in your race T-shirt, wait a week after the race begins, as this is when the T-shirts will be sent out. Afterwards, make sure to send in your time and track, as well as pictures of you and yours wearing their gear! If you have the fastest time in your age section (Under 18 M/F, 18-35 M/F, 36+ M/F) you are in the running for some awesome prizes donated by local businesses, such as dinner at K Pasa. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the race!
About ERASE Racism: ERASE Racism is a Long Island-based nonprofit centered around promoting racial equity in housing, public school education, and community development. They strive to "expose forms of racial discrimination, advocate for laws and policies that eliminate racial disparities, increase understanding of how structural racism and segregation impact our communities and region, and engage the public in fostering equity and inclusion" (Mission Statement from eraseracismny.org).
