The Autism Society of the Greater Hudson Region, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to be the region’s premier source of education, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism, their families, and professionals. Autism is a developmental disability that occurs in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Many individuals with autism have significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges. The prevalence rate of autism continues to rise, and currently, the CDC estimates that an average of 1 in 44 children in the US has autism. The ASGHR serves as the local voice and resource for the Greater Hudson Region autism community. Funds raised from the Hero Walk for Autism: Virtual Challenge and In-Person Community Walk/Family Fun Day will provide much-needed support, resources, and programs for local families living with autism. The funds raised here, stay here!
