Staten Island Virtual Race - South Beach Boardwalk 4 Miler (Memorial Day Course)

Rules of the Virtual Memorial Day Race

1) Course is exactly 4 miles.

2) Course can be done any time between Friday, May 22 and Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day).

3) The run is free and unofficial. I would love to see who would be interested to come out to run fast, even if it's a time trial to avoid crowding.

4) You can run one or multiple attempts. If you submitted an attempt, and then ran a better attempt, you can replace the old attempt with the better attempt.

5) For scoring, I look at Strava and Garmin uploads. Your Strava and Garmin uploads must be made public so that I can receive them. All you need to do is email me the link to your upload via ironpete@aol.com . I’ll acknowledge your attempt and will place on the results page.

6) This is an experiment, so if you liked what you saw, let me know. If you do have other issues, I would like to know as well. The goal here is to try to get in competition in under what is going on today.

7) I will actually be on hand Memorial Day morning starting at 7AM - 10AM in case you want to get in your timed run on that day. Of course, you'll need to use the sidewalks rather than the streets because Fr. Cap Blvd will be open to traffic.

Suggestions: If you’re a bit confused about how the course goes, you can always do a casual run-through to see where the course goes before you make your official attempt(s). I would suggest you look at the finish line first before starting your run-through so that you know where you’ll need to be when you finish.
