The First Annual Path Out of Poverty 5k run/walk is being put together by a group of students who hold interest in fundraising for Project Chacocente in efforts with STAND. Project Chacocente is a non for profit organization in Masaya, Nicaragua where the goal is “Creating a future for the poorest of the poor in Nicaragua”. The website for the organization is www.outofthedump.org.
The run will take place on October 9<sup>th</sup> from 1-3pm. The run will start by Carnegie, go down the hill by Crouse heading towards Marshall, down Marshall to Comstock, down Comstock to where the Women’s building is, around to where Archibold is in between Archibold and the dome and back to Carnegie -two laps around will be 5k.
