Description
Freedom Greyhound Rescue is an organization consisting of a group of dedicated, hard working volunteers that share a love for greyhounds. Our vision is to help retired racing greyhounds reach their forever homes, taking them from the track, to house, to loving home.
By participating in this event, you will be helping raise money for these great dogs and supporting their search for their happy and healthy home. The race will be held at Sunny Lake Park in Aurora.
Feel free to bring your dog, as many of our foster and adopted greyhounds will be along the course, cheering you on. You can also explore the dog park at Sunny Lake!
If you are unable to attend, you can do the virtual 5K or 1.75 miles from anywhere! You will receive a t-shirt after the day of the race.
There will be rewards for overall top female and male finisher, as well as top three finishers in each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Also awards for top dog in the Mutt Strut!
There will also be drawings for gift baskets and gift cards after the race! To receive this year's t-shirt in the correct size, you must register by May 1, 2018.
