The Wonder Kids are Back! Join Us for Another Amazing Adventure at

The W.A.G.S. Wonder Run*!

A 5K Timed Run + One Mile Walk & Roll on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024!

Be a HERO! DRESS UP AS YOUR FAVORITE SUPERHERO!
Benefiting Working Animals Giving Service for Kids, training service dogs for kids with special needs.
This event is open to all whether you are a competitive runner, everyday runner, or walker!
Presented by First Energy & Peace Racing to promote health and give visibility to W.A.G.S. 4 Kids and
the incredible abilities of children living with challenges in their everyday lives.

Pre-Registration Fees:
5K- $35.00
1-Mile- $20.00
*all registration fees will increase by $5 for day of registration

All registration includes:
-Leashed Dogs Welcome! (No add'l fee)
-Official Wonder Run promotional items
-Chip timing for the 5K race
-Custom finisher medals designed by our guys at GCI* & awards for top finishers 
-Post race refreshments 
-Online results posted same day

Original T-shirt also designed and printed by our guys at GCI, available for pre-order by or before July 19th, 2024 for pickup the day of the event. Shirts may also be ordered at the door for an additional fee to be mailed directly to you.

Race Day Timeline:
-9:00 AM- Packet pick up and day of registration begins  
-10:00 AM- 5K starts  
-10:15 AM- 1 Mile starts
-11:30 AM- Awards ceremony begins

VIRTUAL RACE

How the virtual race works:

  1. Sign up between now and August 3rd.
  2. Download your virtual bib.
  3. Race anywhere, anytime, any pace.
  4. Post your time to your Run Sign Up profile when you complete your race (Before 8/7 at Noon).
  5. Receive your race swag in the mail within 10 business days of the event.

What is included with your virtual entry fee:

  • $10 - $15 donation to the organization.
  • Custom finisher medal.
  • Race Shirt (If ordered, by or before 7/19/24)
  • Shipping of your race swag.

Virtual Race registration cost includes a small processing fee at check-out.

Make Your Miles Count Even More!
One way to share the work of our organization and mission is to become a charity team fundraiser! Below are simple ways to fundraise for this event:

1. Sign up for the race and to become a fundraiser or start a fundraising team during registration: Reach out to your friends, family, colleagues, and local businesses to donate to help reach your team’s over-all goal which helps to raise awareness for W.A.G.S. 4 Kids!

2. Set your goal: We suggest $500 for individuals and $2,000 for teams. Those who raise $250+ become an official charity team member and earn a special charity team member t-shirt. Those who raise $500+ get the charity team t-shirt and their race entry re-funded back to them.

3. Fund-Your-Run: Get sponsored for your run! Ask friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor you per mile. This is an easy way to get others involved and to quickly reach your personal fundraising goal. 

All proceeds from the race will go directly to W.A.G.S. 4 Kids' service dog training programs and services, serving kids in need throughout 35 counties of NE & Central Ohio for 20 years...and counting! To read about the WAGS 4 Kids programs and services click here.

About W.A.G.S. 4 Kids

Working Animals Giving Service for Kids (W.A.G.S. 4 Kids) is YOUR 2015 Cleveland Scene Readers' Choice Best Charity organization that empowers local children with disabilities by providing mobility service and autism service dogs to meet the specific needs of children with disabilities in Northeast Ohio, utilizing their Award-Winning ODRC Accredited Cell Dog Training Program. Service dogs are custom trained to provide therapeutic, emotional and physical support for children with disabilities and their families. W.A.G.S. 4 Kids is focused on spotlighting the abilities of children with disabilities and works year-round to provide kids the opportunity to do whatever they love toward the betterment of a classmate facing everyday challenges through their Kids Who Can! Youth Empowerment program.
