Please join us for the 3rd Annual Be a Hero for Military Kid 5K and newly added Obstacle Course Challenge.
This year we have fun events planned for the whole family. We will have the annual 5K Run/Walk and a new obstacle course challenge, presented by Citi Military Veteran’s Network to provide fundraising support for Operation: Military Kids – the U.S. Army’s collaborative effort with America’s communities to support children and youth impacted by deployment.

When: Friday, June 13, 2014.
Where: Scioto Audubon Metro Park -400 W. Whittier Street, Columbus, OH 3215. From I-71, take the Greenlawn Avenue exit east one-third of a mile and turn left on South Front Street. Go a quarter of a mile and turn left on West Whittier Street. Entranceis one-third of a mile on left.

Fun Starts at 6:00 pm: Packet pick-up, check-in and day of event registration.
6:15 pm – 6:45 pm: Those completing in both the 5K, canhit the obstacle to be timed in advance of the race.
6:30 pm: Kids Fun Runs
7:00 pm: 5K start
7:30 pm: Obstacle Course challenge
This year we have fun events planned for the whole family. Fun for the whole family!
This family-friendly 5K run/walk features takes place on recreation paths located inside the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. Scioto Audubon is a 120-acres of family enjoyment right inside ofthe City. For those not interested in walking or running, why not show off your athletic skills by participating in our new obstacle course challenge. The Columbus Rotary Obstacle Course at the park features activity stations that we will be using. Come out and try to beat our special ops professional’s times!
Again this year, we will be featuring the Kids Fun Runs for the children 10 & under. They will include the 200-yard dash for the 7-9 age group and the 100-yard dash for 6 & under. We will also have a mini obstacle course for all the kids to try out this year.
