Description
GIRLS. WE RUN THE WORLD. GIRLS.
Beyoncé fills an important role in the pop feminist movement today, serving as an entry point for deeper feminist issues. She is an inlet for younger men and women to consider the social inequalities that face today’s youth. Embodying the spirit and empowerment of Miss Queen Bey, participants will dress as Beyoncé from any of her dynamic styles through the decades, and her music will be the exclusive soundtrack for the event.
The inaugural BEYONCÉ 5K is a co-ed event highlighting both modern pop feminism and sexual assault awareness. With these two stellar topics in mind we will be contributing profits to the local organization: the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, which seeks to end sexual assault and sexual violence in the state of Ohio and greater Columbus area
