Race to Rise Up

Sat August 15 - Sun August 16

A Virtual Run & Walk

The Race to Rise Up is a virtual run, walk, and race for everyone, because we run farthest when we run together.

Choose your distance.  1 mile.  5k.  Or 10k.

Run or walk.  August 15 or 16.

Share your results.  Your story.  Your inspiration.

Event proceeds go towards the People's Justice Project, Black Girls RUN! Foundation, and Black Men Run Foundation.

Race Details

How does a virtual event work? It's simple. You run or walk solo, record your time, and submit your results. You can use any course and take part at any time from August 15-16. We may be socially distant but we can still share in the race day experience as we work towards positive change.

  • Who: Everyone is invited to be part of this full community event.
  • What: A virtual 1 mile, 5k, & 10k run or walk in support of the People's Justice Project, Black Men Run, & Black Girls RUN!
  • Perks: A locally designed & printed unique race shirt + an art print of one of the recent Short North murals by Kelsey Yappel.
  • Make a Difference: Take a stand by running or walking with us.  Your registration goes towards justice projects and the foundations run by Black Men Run and Black Girls RUN!

Art Print Race "Medals"

All participants will receive a print featuring artwork from a recent Short North mural by Kelsey Yappel.  Think of this print as your finisher's medal - one that you can display as a daily reminder of your support towards all of us working together.
