We regret to inform you our race did not survive the pandemic. Our primary concern is the safety of our participants, race volunteers, and community.
Please monitor the Explore Elmore Facebook page for future events happening in our community. We will be reaching out to any currently registered participants to coordinate a refund.
In honor of April Fool's Day, the Explore Elmore Organization will be hosting the "Only Fools Run a 5k." For those fools not willing to take on the 5k challenge, there will be a Family Fun Run of 1 mile.
Each year, our goal is to bridge together as a community and raise awareness to a local charity or cause. This year, in preparation for Donate Life Awareness Month (April) and in light of recent events in our community, we have opted to support Life Connections of Ohio. The month is dedicated to spreading awareness about organ and tissue transplantation and donation. Currently, more than 112,000 people are currently waiting for life-saving organ transplants in the United States, including over 3,100 Ohioans. Those waiting would more than fill the Ohio State University football stadium. One might say it would be "foolish" not to consider being a donor.
The race will kickoff at Woodmore High School and travel through the quaint downtown along the road to the town's not-so-hidden gem: Schedel Gardens. This flat, accurate course proves to be the perfect course for all skill levels, whether this is a tune up for the Glass City Marathon or your first race of the year.
