Since 1974, RMHC has created programs that strengthen families during difficult times. Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost.
That is where this race comes in.
Hustle for the House 5K is our fundraiser for Team RMCH. We have a group that is running the Chicago Marathon while fundraising for the Incredible organization the Ronald McDonald House Charities is. Come run or walk with us on August 5th on a great 5K course starting and ending on the Marysville High School track. The course runs along the scenic Jim Simmons trail and the pedestrian bridge over Route 33.
Stick around after you finish for some refreshments and a great raffle. Each participant will receive a great swag bag, race T-shirt, and a really awesome finishers medal.
10:30 AM - Packet pickup begins at the stadium (bring cash to buy raffle tickets!)
