The Sandusky Donut Eating Contest - Benefiting Ability Works

Although the Sandusky 0.5k is not able to take place this year due to the pandemic, we are still excited to bring another silly, fun, and delicious event to our community to raise money for a wonderful organization, Ability Works, Inc.

The Sandusky Donut Eating Contest will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Bait House Brewery in Sandusky, Ohio.

There are two options for participating in the fun! You can register as a contestant and see how many donuts you can scarf down or you can register for general admission and simply enjoy watching the contestants along with the other festivities.

Contestants - Public Donut Eaters:

Are you ready for sticky fingers and a belly full of donuts? Then "step on up" and register as a contestant for The 2021 Sandusky Donut Eating Contest! Don't wait too long to register because there will only be a limited number of contestants accepted. Contestants will be given 8 minutes to eat as many glazed donuts as they can! Contestants will all be provided water and may eat with their hands.

Prize Info:
  1. Grand Prize winner will receive an obnoxiously large trophy for their accomplishment as The 2021 Sandusky Donut Eating Champion! Plus, a $1,000 CASH PRIZE!
  2. Second and Third place will receive less obnoxious trophies for their lesser (but still important) accomplishments, along with smaller cash prizes than their victors. $200 for Second place and $100 for Third place.
  3. All contestants will receive a custom t-shirt as a reminder of the amazing time they had supporting a great cause and eating lots of donuts!

General Admission - Spectators:

Do you love donuts, but just aren't ready to unleash the beast within to down a dozen of them on the spot? No worries, we have an option for you too! Join in on the fun by watching those fearless contestants compete head to head, or donut by donut, in this fun contest, and then stay and enjoy the after-party perks!

After Party:

Realistically, it won't take a crazy amount of time for the contestants to eat donuts and to announce a victorious champion. So, what fun would this event really be without an "after party"?! Below are the party perks that all contestants and spectators can enjoy at The 2021 Sandusky Donut Eating Contest!

  • 2 Drink Tickets for each Contestant and Spectator redeemable for the beer on tap or non-alcoholic beverage available.*
  • Dozens of Donuts (of course!) will be available for all to gobble up!
  • Heavy Appetizers (yum!)
  • and DJ Swiss to keep the party vibe going!

*Participants must be 21 years of age or older to receive alcoholic beverages and be able to show proof with a valid I.D.

Please join us for this tasty event that promises to be full of fun and fundraising for a great local charity, Ability Works, Inc.!

Registration Fees:

The Contestant fee is $35 and the Spectator fee is $20. 100% of ALL registration proceeds will go directly to Ability Works to continue providing those in our community with developmental disabilities employment opportunities, extended employment, training, counseling, and other services customized to their specific needs, and more.
