iSPACE 5K Run/Walk

Join us on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. for a 5K Run/Walk to benefit iSPACE, a non-profit informal educational center, that is Igniting Imaginations...Fueling Discovery...Sparking Success!

FREE Family Educational Programs: that include ROCKETS, ROBOTS, SPACE EXPLORATION activities and more! While parents race, kids can have FUN exploring Space Stations with cool hands-on science adventures!

5 Kilometers (5K), 3.1 Mile Run and Walk

Course

5K course begins and ends at the Scarlet Oaks Campus and winds through the Campus and surrounding area

Chip Timing: This year's race will be timed with Ipico shoe tags (chips). All Times will be read electronically. You do not have to have a tag to participate but you must have a tag to receive a time. To receive a time, you must attach shoe tag to your shoe. Click here to see photo of properly attached shoe tag. No tag, no time! Shoe tags will be distributed on race-day only. Tags are re-useable and will be collected at the finish line. If you are given a tag, you agree to return it. Divisions

Run Divisions- Men & Women: 14/under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70/over.

Walk Divisions- Men & Women 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70/over. If you intend to run any part of the course, sign up as a runner.

Awards

Awards: Overall male and female runners and walkers.

Age group awards to top male and female runners and walkers in each division. Awards presented immediately following the race.

Registration

Pre-Registration Entry Fee: $20 per person.

Long-sleeve ultimate performance Shirts are available for an additional $15 with pre-registration while supplies last. If you know you want one of these shirts, please pre-register to be guaranteed to get one. (2xls are available for $18).

Register online: Register online with a credit card. Available thru Thursday, October 30, 2013. Small service fee will apply.

Register by Mail: Print and Mail your Registration. Print a PDF Race Flyer. Mail-in registration must be postmarked by Saturday, October 26, 2013.

There is no early packet pick up for this race. Late registration and packet pick up will take place on race day beginning at 7:30 am.

Register on Race Day: Race day/Late registration and number pick up: Begins at 7:30 am. at Scarlet Oaks. $25 per person Shirts are an additional $15 while supplies last ($18 for 2xl).

DRIVING DIRECTIONS to iSPACE:

From I-71: Take I-275 West to Mosteller Road Exit (Exit #44)
From I-75: Take I-275 East to Mosteller Road Exit (Exit #44)
Turn left (south) onto Mosteller Road
Turn left at the first traffic light, onto East Kemper Road
At the second traffic light (0.7 miles), turn left at Depot Drive
Take the second right (past Instructional Resource Center building) at the larger concrete Scarlet Oaks sign.
Turn left into Visitor Parking lot (entry to lot is before and also at stop sign – across from Public Safety Building).
