Description

The Salvation Army of Northwest Ohio Area Services cordially invites you to participate in the 4th Annual Red Kettle Relay and 5K run in conjunction with The Blade Holiday Parade, November 11, 2017. This event both promotes our Red Kettle campaign as well as serves as a kickoff for the Red Kettle season. This year we are excited to provide runners the opportunity to run on part of the parade route. The course will be three laps around a one mile loop with each member of the three-person relay team running one lap. The traditional 5K race will run concurrently with the relay on the course.

In 2016, The Salvation Army served over 31,000 individuals in Northwest Ohio by providing utility, rent, food, clothing, prescription and transportation assistance. The Salvation Army staff help individuals understand their innate value and ability to be self-sufficient by providing a hand-up, not a hand-out.
